What's yours?I usually like to drink out of a heavy pint glass because it's almost the ideal size for me and it's easy to hold and such... | | Is Microsoft Bad? | | Do you agree with so many who say that Microsoft is a bad company?Do they have so much money and so much power that they take advantage of us?Common logic and business sense tells me that the only way to make a lot of money, is to make a lot of money for other people too. That's why salesmen are the highest paid professionals around, they make a lot of money for their bosses. If they don't, they are GONE. Microsoft is much maligned in the public, but the bottom line is without the service they provide, a whole industry would be crippled and brought to it's knees. If they do such a bad job, why didn't IBM with it's OS2 take all their business, and don't say Microsoft used unfair tactics because that's not true. They just have a better market force and there is nothing wrong with that.If their products were actually as bad as detractors say they are, they wouldn't have reigned as the champion for so long. I will be eternally grateful to Bill Gates and the wonderful exciting career he led me to. I started with CP/M if you think Microsoft is bad. | | See this "small frog",-----GIVE HIM A NAME!!!!! | | This frog lives in a hole in our kitchen garden. Almost daily in the "evening", it comes out and crawls, more like a house- lizard, to eat the insects. It goes away after about two hours, and reappears on the next evening only. This is his "real" photograph taken with my Nokia Mobile!!! Not one down loaded from net!!! We have, particularly my grand -kids have developed an affection for it, it is a "pet" to us. | | Conducting Amature Science Experiments | | I used to have my computer in my home office (converted dining room). Last week I moved my computer in to the living room, and other than turning the tv on and off a couple of times have had no occasion to go in to that area again.So, today I'm sitting at my computer, typing away, and something is smelling a bit funky. I didn't know what it was. I went to take a nap and forgot about it.When I woke up, I wanted to pay some bills and went to grab a notepad out of my office. That's when I discovered it. I had forgotten that the night I moved my computer, I was drinking a cup of hot chocolate. That cup was still sitting on the table, but it no longer was the color of hot chocolate. It was the color of kermit the frog. Have you ever conducted an amature, in home science project or experiment such as the one I inadvertantly conducted?
