| Who is tired of reality shows? BRING BACK THE GONG SHOW | | OMG how boring they are. How low can society sink when eating live larvae and lying in a tank of scorpions is mistaken for entertainment? I mean, come on people, this is really really sick. What is this teaching the children of the world? What about some nice feel good family entertainment? The Gong Show was a very funny and popular show in seventies in which contestants would get onstage and get rated on their talent, if they were super bad, they got GONGED by a giant gong, in some cases, a large gigantic cane was wrapped around the contestant as they were literally pulled off the stage. This was fun. Nothing malicious. Everyone laughed and had a good time and kids did not have to see ugly reality shows that left them with nothing inside. The Gong Show reruns and excerpts can be found on YOUTUBE. Remember, Gene, Gene the dancing machine? Oh, how I loved Chuck Barris, Great Laughter and this is the type of shows we need now. Not depressing garbage like the aforementioned reality shows. | |
| | What was your favorite TV show growing up? | | Looking back at your childhood, what was the one TV show that you couldn't miss? I had a lot of them, but my favorite would be The Dukes of Hazard probably because we watched it as a family. It was on Friday nights. We would pop popcorn, play a board game and watch The Dukes of Hazard. Then my sister and I would have to go play in the playroom because we were not allowed to watch Dallas:) | |

| Just a wild and crazy thought | | This is just a wild and crazy thought, but lets take a trip to makebelieve land for a moment. Suppose that while watching tv, you could step into the tv, into an episode of whatever you were watching. What shows or movies would you step into? Why? How long would you stay? How often would you visit this show in this particular way? I might step into an episode of the Dukes of Hazzard because it is my favorite show and they look like they have a lot of fun! I also might step into a Christmas movie which has Santa flying in his sleigh in order to get a ride in that sleigh, lol. | |
| | What's your favorite OLD tv show? | | Personally I don't watch tv that often. When I do watch tv I enjoy mostly old tv shows rather than current ones. I watch Walker, Texas Ranger, Full House, Little House on the Prairie, I Love Lucy, Three's Company, etc. My favorite old show, favorite tv show period, is the Dukes of Hazzard (this actually is where my user name comes from as it is a Dukes of Hazzard fanfiction character I created back when I used to write that a lot, lol.) Does anyone else enjoy a lot of the old tv shows? If so, what are some of your favorite old shows? | |

| Dukesfest | | Anyone here going to Dukesfest this year? | |
| | Do you remember the aluminum tv trays? | | I remember sitting with my aluminum tv tray in front of the tv as a kid, munching on whatever mommy made for dinner! LOL I cannot for the life of me remember what was on the tray, I recall different characters they had and such but can't recall the one I had.If you were sick mom used the tray to give you "lunch in bed" as you stayed home from school. When my kids were little they had these and I remember buying the magnet letter and number sets so they could play for hours in the car!Did you have a "tv tray" as a kid? What was on it? | |
