Rice Krispie Balls
INGREDIENTS:
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup chopped dates
1 slightly beaten egg
3 cups Rice Krispies
1/2 cup chopped pecans
or English walnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
DIRECTIONS:
Melt butter in pan. Add sugar and
chopped dates. Add slightly beaten
egg. Stir and cook over low heat
until thick, about 5 minutes. Remove
from heat, add Rice Krispies, vanilla
and nuts. Pour out on waxed paper
and let mixture cool enough to make
into balls. Roll in powdered sugar.
