Marmalade Nut Bread

INGREDIENTS:	
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup orange marmalade
1 tablespoon freshly grated 
  orange rind
1 cup chopped pecans 
  or walnuts

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder,
and salt in large bowl.  In separate
bowl combine remaining ingredients
except pecans, mixing well.  Make a
well in the center of flour mixture;
add milk mixture, and stir just until
dry ingredients are moistened.  Stir 
in pecans.  Pour into a greased and
floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake for 1 hour and 10 to 15 minutes,
or until a wooden toothpick inserted
comes out clean.  Let cool in pan
10 minutes; remove from pan; brush
with melted butter and let cool
completely on a wire rack.

*Delicious spread with softened
 cream cheese.
